Apple Watch Impresses

Watch out, because the Apple watch will blow you away with all of its cool features.

At first I was hesitant to buy the apple watch, with its hefty price tag of $269, but now I’m positive I’ve made the right choice. The first thing you notice when you pick up the watch is just how light it is at 28.2 grams. The watch comes in two variations: 32mm and 42mm, along with an impressive 18 hour battery life. It also has cool features such as a Heartrate sensor, Siri, the ability to answer phone calls, iMessage, and much more.

The Apple watch Series 2 contains built in GPS for nifty features like driving directions and mapping out where you’ve been or tracking the distance you ran. I found myself using the “Heart rate” feature quite often. You simply push a button and the watch tells you your current BPM (beats per minute).

The watch connects to your phone, so you’ll receive every notification on your watch as well. Do you like using Siri? Well, that’s on the watch as well. I find it very useful for quick commands, such as “Call …” , “What’s the temperature”, “Text John …”, and so on.

Many people might say that the watch is useless because you have everything on your phone.
Sure that’s true, but it’s just the convenience of the watch that makes it worthwhile. It’s very nice not having to reach into your pocket to check the time or answer a phone call.

The Apple watch is there for your health, meaning it’ll tell you “Hey time to stand up and walk” or “You’re stressed; how about you breathe.” It’s crazy how it motivates you to exercise. I normally run, but I saw myself running further because I set different goals for myself on the watch.

If you lose your watch or it gets stolen, Apple has implemented two very intuitive features: “Find my watch” and “Activation Lock.” “Find my watch” is very simple to use, Simply go to the watch app on your iPhone and tap “Find my watch.” Then you’ll see the exact location of your watch and you can ping it so it’ll make a noise. “Activation lock” simply means the watch is locked to your iCloud account. So if someone tried delete everything off the watch, they couldn’t. They would need your iCloud account password to turn your watch on.

All in all, I think the watch is an amazing piece of technology. I highly recommend this product.
