On Friday, May 5th, Tallwood’s Class of 2018 held their Junior Fun Night at Tallwood High School.

At Junior Fun Night, there was activities like laster tag, corn hole, video games, a movie, a photo booth, a DJ, and a pinata in honor of Cinco De Mayo. Eilene Lucero, Class of 2018 President at Tallwood High School believed that the student’s favorite activities were the DJ and laser tag.

“The main goal for Junior Fun Night is to have a night where Juniors enjoy themselves as a Junior celebrating one of the hardest years in high school,” said Lucero.

“I thought it was fun! It was good seeing all my friends together because it’s been awhile since we’ve been busy with school, exams, and work. I thought Class of 2018 put together a great event,” said Joseph Nguyen, Junior SCA President of Tallwood High School.

While speaking about this event, Nguyen did mention that he did not see a lot of people from the the Class of 2018. He viewed that as the only downside to this event.

“Some may say Junior Fun Night is not a good event, but Junior Fun Night is what YOU make it,” said Braydon Beckwith, Junior SCA Treasurer at Tallwood High School.

Beckwith expressed how the experience depends on your decisions. You have the choice to break out of your comfort zone and meet new people. It’s up to you to make those connections with your class.

When Lucero was asked about suggestions next year she discussed planning this event early and making sure to get student’s opinion on what they want to do by giving out surveys.
