Christmakkah

Arielle Rosenberg

Tinsel on the trees

And candles on the menorah

Snow drifting in the breeze

Fire burning by the sofa

Family gathers ‘round

They’ve had quite the journey

There are presents on the ground

Beneath the tree the children scurry

As the sun goes down on night one

The first candle on the menorah is lit

Followed by presents, dancing, and fun

Christmas starts in a little bit

The next morning the sun rises

And the children dash down the stairs

People of all shapes and sizes

Are celebrating Christmakkah with their peers
