AMC’s “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” produced by Michele Fazekas & Tara Butters, started this past October with an amazing cast of characters whom of which have a variety of backstories.

“Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” stars Jason Ritter who plays Kevin, a guy who ends up struggling through life. He loses his job, his girlfriend, and ends up in a dark place. After attempting suicide he ends up moving in with his widowed twin sister Amy and her daughter Reese. The same night he moved in, he finds he’s making a friend with a celestial being named Yvette. She informs him that he is the last of the righteous who is tasked with saving the world.

We watch as Kevin has to learn what it means to give to others after being selfish all his life. We see Kevin progress in relationships with old friends and new friends. The show teaches us that when giving we also receive in return.

As the show continues we learn more about each character and what they have been through to end up where they are. It shows them struggling and then coming together. It shows what it should be like in the world. Strangers helping strangers could make a difference in everyone’s life.

All together we see a man who struggled and gave up on life, turn a new leaf. It gives me as a person hope in humanity. It makes me want to help others, not to receive anything in return, but to see them happy is all I need.

“Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” returns December 5th, with its 8th episode titled, “Chrysalis.”
