Election Results are In
May 2, 2017
On Friday, April 21st, the SCA and Class Officers were announced to the school on the morning announcements.
The candidates were informed about the results the day before the school announced it to all of the students and faculty. All of the new 2017-2018 officers looked very excited to hear they won their position.
“I plan on creating fundraisers and organizing money and making sure none of it is misplaced,” said Kelsey Gunn, a Junior at Tallwood High School, and the 2017-2018 SCA Treasurer.
Gunn also said that she wants to be better than before, she wants to leave a lasting impression on Tallwood. While talking to her, she showed true passion for her position.
“Next year I would really like to plan activities for my class to come together, something we could all enjoy because that’s what’s really important about high school, the bonds we make, and I would really like to give that to my peers,” said Tiana Corbin, Class of 2020 President at Tallwood High School.
“My main focus of next year is our ring dance. I really want to focus on fundraising and publicity next year to make our events more popular and to raise more money,” said Jack Schmeiser, sophomore and the 2017-2018 Class of 2019 President at Tallwood High School.
Jack has a goal to make Junior year for 2019 memorable. He wants the class to have an amazing time at Ring Dance next year.
“Next year as class officer I plan on making future events for our class one of the best, including ring dance.” said Francine Williams, Class of 2019 Vice President.
“It’s a team thing though, my class officers and I will continue to be the best that we can be for the class of 2019,” said Williams when discussing plans for next year.
Everyone had different reason to run for SCA/Class, but when they come together they all have the same goal, make the school year fun and better than the last.
