The Tallwood High School drama students are bringing the hit movie Hairspray back to life with showings from March 30th through April 2nd.

Tickets to see the show cost five dollars, and most actors will be selling them around school when it gets closer to the show dates. Showing times range from around 3pm to 7pm, so there is more than enough time for anyone to be welcome.

The theatre students have put on three different plays so far this year including, “The Priest, The Drunk, And The Other One”, “The Christmas Radio Show” and “Peter And Wendy”.

All students in drama have been working hard since the beginning of the year to perfect this play. You can really tell from their rehearsals that every actor is serious about getting their choreography and lines memorized.

“I love being in drama; I love any part I can get. I love all the dancing I get to do with this play and i’m trying to make a story in playing my character Tammy, who is a council member, so it’s more believable,” said Jenn Bulger, Sophomore at Tallwood High and actor in Hairspray.

The buzz for this play has been picking up as students are growing more and more excited to see what’s been hiding behind the curtain.

“I’m going to see the Hairspray play because I know it will be a great show. I’m really looking forward to seeing the the set, effects, makeup, and acting,” said Malary Austin, Sophomore at Tallwood High School.
