Meet a Lion: Ms. Vera Dozier

“I view myself as a wife/mother first, a loving and supportive person. Someone who can always be counted on,” said Vera Dozier, an Administrative Associate personal assistant to Dr. Avila and the Principal at Tallwood High school.

Vera Dozier loves being a part of the Tallwood community.

“I feel that I have a great relationship with our students, I consider myself a mentor, and in some cases a mother. With our staff we all work together as a family to ensure we have the support we need to do the job that we so love to do,” she said.

Even though the work is hard, Ms. Dozier never seems to lose steam.

“How I end my day is making sure that I have a great starting foundation and making sure that I know where my start will be,” she said. Many can sense that she is not lacking for energy.

What does she want? “To be the best that I can be for not only for the staff but our students here at Tallwood,” she said. She and many others may be tired at the end of the day, but she and her colleagues are working to make Tallwood a better place.

“Have a great afternoon,” stated Ms.Dozier as I left. As busy as Ms. Dozier is, she still has time to say hello and/or goodbye.
