The Senior Symposium took place on May 22, 2024, and this was the year’s last event for the Seniors in the Global Studies and World Languages Academy.

The Senior Symposium is an event where students showcase their topic on a poster board while people walk around and view it. This event also highlights the students who receive the top 10 in presentations, research papers, and actions.

Many of the students were excited for their peers as this was the final part of their project and potentially receiving scholarships for their hard work.

“I was surprised cause I thought my presentation wasn’t really that good, I thought it was just pretty mediocre,” said Cameron Sasser, a Senior who received top 10 for presentations. Many students expressed feeling nervous as this was a chance to be elected for a scholarship

Although many students were nervous they had much support from their classmates, teachers, parents, and others who volunteered to help with the event

This event left many people with happy tears, as this was the end of four years of being in the Global Studies Academy and transitioning into new beginnings.
