Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, students at Tallwood High School have been confused by the new lights in the downstairs hallways.

When walking into the school, there were new lights in the hallways.

“I do not like them, they are too bright… they are too intuitional, they feel like they are straight out of a hospital or horror movie. Just too bright for Tallwoods setting,” said Sean Rich, Tallwood Freshman when asked about if they like them.

The students have been distracted by the new lights. When firstly walking into the building, there were students talking about the lights and acting like they were looking into the sun.

When asking students, “Do you feel negatively about the new lights?”

The students responded:

“Disorienting,” said Hayden Sizemore, Tallwood Senior.

“Yes, Definitely,” said Cameron Sassor, Tallwood Senior.

“They are just strange,” said Taylor Jefferson, Tallwood Senior.

The new fluorescent lights are strange and different from what students are used to seeing, however.

“We do need new lights, because the lights here are ancient, but they need to dim them,” said Rich.

“It’s too dang bright,” said Arturio Woodhouse, Tallwood Junior, and Landon Walker, Tallwood Senior.
