As the school comes to an end, The Roaring Gazette would like to usher in the new class and SCA officers with an exclusive interview. Here is a preview to the class and school goals for the 2016-2017 school year.

Why did you run for president?

Joe Nguyen: The reason why I ran for SCA President is because I want to make next year, a year to remember. I want to make the school united, make SCA events enjoyable for all, and most importantly, serve you, the people! John F. Kennedy once said “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” This quote represents why I ran. All I want to do is benefit the lions here at Tallwood.

Daisia Nyayieka: Being senior class president, has been my dream since I was 5. I actually couldn’t believe when I won. I ran for president not for the title but because I wanted to represent my class and be that voice. I want our concerns, ideas, and suggestions to be heard.

Eilene Lucero: I wanted to run because I wanted to make a difference in my class and to become a better person out there to influence

Cassidy: I ran for Class President because I believe that I can give 2019 an amazing school year. However, I do know we need to do a lot of things to prepare us for the future and I believe that I would be a good person to help us get to the place we need to be.

What do hope to accomplish during the 2016-2017 school year?

Joe Nguyen: My plans for next year is to make dances bigger, pep rally’s better, and get more school

Daisia: During our senior year, I hope to win the spirit stick every time, low bundle prices, and an unforgettable prom. We will reign supreme together and leave Tallwood by making a legacy. I hope that we accomplish this by being there for the class and listen to what they truly want.

Eilene Lucero: In the 2016-2017 school year, I want to accomplish more involvement, more events, and create huge projects that will benefit the future classes.

Cassidy: My biggest goal this year is to plan events and fundraisers that will be fun and will help us raise money. Also, I want to make sure we have more 2019 General Assemblies so we can make sure everyone’s idea are heard and so we can also get everyone’s opinions about events we planned heard so we can make all of the events something people enjoy.

How do you plan to accomplish these goals?

Joe Nguyen: I hope to accomplish all of this by planning much earlier, getting opinions from students about what they want to see at events, and having good advertising.

Daisia: In fact, I will accomplish these goals by cherishing the moments and embracing the memories. My main goal is to have the best senior year and thrive for success.

Eilene Lucero: To accomplish these goals, I would do my best to manage a lot of time into my class. I would organize and prepare myself for the good and bad. I hope to have these goals because it’s not just a goal, it’s making a difference and a memory.

Cassidy O’Neal:  I plan on accomplishing goals by working with the rest of the officers and all of 2019. I’m very happy to say I have an amazing team by my side and I know with some help from 2019, we can make next year memorable
