Last February 5th saw Superbowl LI (that’s 51 for the people in the back who forgot their roman numerals).

The Atlanta Falcons lost 34-28 to the New England Patriots. The Falcons started strong with a 0-25 lead, but then choked and gave the game up to the Patriots. This is the Patriot’s 5th Superbowl win, the last being in 2005.

“I was upset the Patriots won, I don’t like either team but I think the Falcons deserved the win,” said Logan Ablang, Tallwood sophomore.

Most students said they “didn’t care who won,” but, if they had a choice, most of them said that they would choose the Falcons. According to FOX, 111.9 million people tuned into watch the teams play their final game of the season.

“I was scared in the beginning, the Patriots were down 0-25, I thought we were going to lose,” said Aaron Peco, Tallwood sophomore.

Around 70,000 people attended this year’s Superbowl to watch two teams. Game ticket prices ranged from $800 to $1,800, with many people buying their tickets in advance.

New England fans at Tallwood praised the win.

“The game was a roller coaster” said Joshua Evenson. “I thought the game was over from the beginning but I guess I was wrong!”
