Friday, January 13, 2017, Tallwood’s theater department placed 2nd in Conference 1 for VHSL in the One Act Play competition.

At 5:30 on that day, 15 cast members took to the stage to practice and then present a twisted rendition of Peter Pan, named Peter/Wendy, a play that presents a new side to the characters.

“I’m glad that we got to do this because we got to show our inner kid,” said Zach Anderson, Tallwood Senior and thespian.

As of now, the department is working on revamping the technical aspects of the show, but will be advancing to regionals in a matter of weeks. They want to fully display the imaginative aspects that are associated with Peter Pan.

For Tallwood, they have some shows in the works. They have a Valentine’s Day show filled with little skits from the Introduction to Theater Class. They are also working on their production of Hairspray the Musical, which will be performed in the spring.
