Everyday at Tallwood, my feet drag as I go to my first period. There is simply one thing that brings light to my day. Across my desk in Mr. Denvir’s class, stands a mason jar of coffee, perhaps even a yogurt, and a beautiful man known as Koehn Humphries. Often, my class time is filled with distraction as I just can’t help but fixate my gaze toward him. While many high schools tend to prioritize specific academic skills that develop with the four main subjects: math, ELA, science, and social studies or history, there are many untouched areas for growth for students that high schools fail to address. Just one of these undiscovered and largely important skills is studying Koehn, who serves as an inspiration, promotes healthy food choices, and encourages student hygiene.
Koehn enlightens the student body, not just academically, but also socially. He is a participant in the GSWL academy, takes many difficult courses such as dual enrollment calculus, and is an involved member in many beloved clubs. Students can tend to feel unsatisfied by regular courses as there is a lack of interest in course material. Because Koehn is a student at Tallwood, his peers would feel more connected to the content presented in a class about him, as they can go up to Koehn and interact with him. A student has a question? They can ask the man himself. Koehn also succeeds in not just his dual enrollment classes, but also his AP classes, encouraging a larger number of students to participate in more difficult courses. All in all, the closer connection between students in the class and what is being presented in Koehn Studies will inspire other Tallwood students.
Furthermore, Koehn Studies would promote healthy food choices to students. Koehn is deeply enriched in many different foods of various cultures, and is mindful of the different benefits of healthy foods. Miso soup is just one of the foods Koehn dabbles in, both for its amazing flavors and health benefits like gut and heart health. Other students, through studying Koehn, will open their palate to different cultures and improve their healthy choice making, making a positive impact on them. Therefore, studying in Koehn class will promote positive food choices, both for health and culture.
Studying Koehn will also greatly improve student hygiene. For example, Koehn showers everyday, sometimes even twice, brushes his teeth twice a day and flosses, and wears clean clothes on the regular. This will, finally, shift the hygiene habits of the student body by having Koehn’s clean habits as the perfect example of ideal hygiene practices. Through studying Koehn’s behavior, students will be able to understand and practice good hygiene habits, creating a cleaner and more pleasant smelling environment for all.
Some argue that studying Koehn Jace Humphries would introduce a complicated issue of plagiarism. They say that by having students study Koehn, that they will copy Koehn in every way. However, Koehn is a complicated man who is, at times, unpredictable. While it seems that Koehn class would cause plagiarism, it is simply not so as rather than studying Koehn’s work and products exactly, students will only be studying his behavior. Therefore, copying is not really an issue, as Koehn is both unpredictable and students aren’t really copying his work, but just his behavior and gusto.
Koehn Jace Humphries is an incredible man. From work ethic and determination to succeed in his highly difficult classes, to the worldly foods he dives into for both the cultural and health benefits, to the showers, toothbrushes, and soap he uses on the daily, Koehn is just the inspiration and model that Tallwood needs. High schools need to emphasize the skill of studying Koehn.
