Tallwood High School hosted the 2022, Band Invitational, on Saturday, October 29th.

Although Tallwood didn’t compete at the 2022 band invitational, plenty of other schools worked hard to earn a spot to compete. Eighteen schools from across the state of Virginia competed at the invitational held here at Tallwood.

All attending schools were split up into 5 separate groups. Each group had its own winner, Grafton HS with a score of 86.125, York HS with 86.625, Princess Anne HS with 86.063, First Colonial HS with 81.688, and Cox HS with 83.375.

“The Tallwood Invitational was a huge success this year,” stated Timothy Rossettini, Tallwood’s band director.

Mr. Rossettini was ecstatic with the huge turnout the invitational had this year. He expresses his gratitude toward everyone who took part in the event. Even some of Tallwood’s own band members volunteered at the invitational.

“Invitational is my favorite marching band event of the entire year,” says Honesty
Lindsey, one of Tallwood’s band students.

Lindsey participated in this event by guiding Ocean Lakes high school band team throughout the competition. This event brings schools from around the state together to show how much work each school puts into their band program.
