He found the journal on the train

He eyeballed it in a seat from across the aisle

He is a little boy

The boy is alone on this short train ride

He decided to go sit next to the journal

Longing to open it, he realized his stop is up next

The boy notices there is a silky ribbon book mark attached to the journal

The train suddenly stopped

A conductor yelled a stop name and the boy realized he was at his destination

He set the book down and got off the train

As he walked away from the train he turned his head back to look at the train, wondering what he might have seen in the journal
