Don’t Waste your Money on an iPhone 7

Apple is a million dollar business. Much of its success is because of the electronics that they make. The most popular are the iPhones. They have sold millions of them and more than likely will continue to do so. With every new iPhone, Apple outdoes itself.

However, they made the embarrassment known as the iPhone 7. This phone is, simply put, a downgrade. They can do so much better, as they have shown us with the other phones they’ve made.

On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs announced the new invention that would soon take over the electronic industry, The iPhone. On June 29, 2007 the very first iPhone had been released. With each phone, it seems like they can’t outdo themselves. Until they do. Shortly after the first iPhone, in late 2008 they made a 2nd one. Then a 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. With each phone, they always had way more upgrades. That is, until they made the iPhone 7.

It is always exciting to see a new iPhone come out. They always have new updates for us and just make the iPhone better in general. However, when the iPhone 7 was released, I was utterly disappointed. They make us wait for so long for such a pitiful product.

For starters, the price of the phone started off at $769-869 which is just a completely ridiculous price.  Additionally, the wireless headphones range between $100-200 alone. The total amount of money for this product is easily over $1,000.

Speaking about the headphones: for some strange reason, they decided to get rid of the headphone jack and now have tiny, wireless ones. Basically, they look like the regular ones with the wires cut off. They just seem easy to lose. The battery life also isn’t as long as it used to be. When they got rid of the jack and used bluetooth instead, it somehow took up more of the battery life. They also added two cameras to the back of the phone, so I imagine it would be confusing.

Androids and iPhones have been in competition for ages. Android has just released a new phone as well: Galaxy Note 7.  Now the two phones are in usual competition. The pair of phones have more in common then you may think. They’re easy to break. News is getting around the Galaxy Note 7’s are catching on fire and smoking up and breaking.  For the iPhone 7, they just break really easily. If you don’t have a case and the phone falls, it will most likely break.  Last but not least, just like the iPhone, Galaxy Note 7 is also high priced.

One last reason why it’s bad: the colors. The colors for the iPhone are plain and don’t define and/or match up to the name they’re attempting to make. The phone comes in five colors: gold, rose gold, silver, and two shades of black. If they’re trying to make the iPhone 7 have a name for itself, they should make it look pretty when you first open the box. They should provide colors like red, green or other colors that catch people’s eyes. Instead they decided to be basic and use black, gold, and silver.

The iPhone 7 shouldn’t be on your wishlist. It’s simply unoriginal and downgraded. To begin with, it’s just way too much money, even without the wireless headphones. The colors are plain, and the battery doesn’t last as long as it used to. It has two unnecessary cameras in the back and also is really easy to break. You would expect to receive a product of high quality after you paid so much money and waited for so long, but the iPhone 7 is truly and utterly a disappointment.
