On March 11 Ahkei Togun, Grade 12, represented Tallwood High School at the Virginia state Poetry Out Loud finals.  He placed first, taking home the state title.  This is Togun’s second time as VA state champ, having previously been THS champion and a regional POL champion. He won an all-expenses-paid trip to the POL national competition on May 2-4, plus $500 for poetry books our library.
