Ms. Patricia Winner: Helping Students Daily
February 2, 2017
Doctors and Nurses help people in a life or death situation. Many people trust Doctors and Nurses with their lives. This is why Ms. Patricia Winner is such an important part of our school.
“Trying to find out what’s exactly wrong with students…I mean we are not doctors, so really listening to the students and trying to figure out the symptoms….and that is our biggest fear, missing something that is crucial,” said Ms. Patricia Winner, the Nurse at Tallwood High School.
Twenty years of serving Tallwood, Ms. Winner’s most important job is to take care of students. Whether it’s emotional, mental, or physical–she and her assistant do it.
Is she a hidden figure? It’s true that her office is not visible to many, but do you know who she is?
“She is the one who will be there when you fall,” said Brandy Reid, a Senior at Tallwood.
“The school is very supportive and we have everything we need,” said Ms. Winner. Ms.Winner has trained many years to be a Nurse. That is how she became who she is today.
