The Neighbourhood Rocks the Norva

The Neighbourhood Rocks the Norva

Donovan Lea, Staff Writer

The indie rock band The Neighbourhood, best known for their hit single Sweater Weather, made their way to The Norva this past Thursday to debut their new album, Wiped Out! The opening acts where Kaleo, an indie folk band from Iceland, and Robert Delong, who is an EDM artist. Kaleo, who went on first, had a beautiful authentic sound that captured the audience and resonated with them. They have two singles in the U.S entitled All the Pretty Girls and Way Down We Go. Although myself and many other never heard of them, we instantly became fans. Robert Delong’s self-made electronic beats and percussion had the whole crowd on their feet, but that was nothing compared to the crowd roaring as The Neighbourhood took the stage. The audience came to life as the lead singer, Jesse Rutherford, sang songs like, Afraid, Cry Baby, Daddy Issues, Female Robbery, W.D.Y.M.F.M., and Sweater Weather. The emotion and passion that is put in their songs was undeniably present. It was overall an amazing night, and I personally hope they return again soon.
