Winter is approaching, which means basketball season is too.

The Tallwood Lions are coming off a difficult football season, with a regular season record of 4-6 and getting eliminated in the first round of playoffs, but plan for the basketball season to turn things around.

Ending with a record of 10-10 last year, the basketball team plans on having over a 50% win rate this season, hopefully even making a run for the state championship.

“Last year the season didn’t end how we wanted it to. We’ve added more pieces this year, and I’m very confident about this season. It’s going to be exciting,” says Micah Eastman, senior guard.

With the schedule already being posted, the Lions have their first game on the road, against Great Bridge High School on November 29th. Securing a win against the Wildcats last year, they have a good idea of what they are up against.

The Lions have been practicing very hard to get prepared for the upcoming season. They have a scrimmage scheduled for November 26th. The first home game is scheduled for December 2nd. The Lions hope to see you there for your support.

The start of a great season is just one week away. Lions pride!
