Tallwood High School basketball came into the season with a very slow start but are on an emergence this season after starting a whopping 0-5. The team had it hard early in the season losing to Green Run in a blowout loss 44-77 and another blowout loss losing 40-69 to Princess Anne. Tallwood had a nail-biting game against Kempsville losing only by 3 points with the final score reaching 61-64. The next game Tallwood lost to rivals, Salem Sun Devils, losing only by late game turnovers and free throws. After another loss to Handley they finally secured their first win of the season winning against Bayside winning by 4 points 70-66. Their record is currently 5-9 gaining traction in our division with the 2 junior stars Kaleb Peterson and Calvin Thomas leading the team. Things have been looking way better for our Lions basketball team by recently losing to the #3 team Kellam by ony 3 points. Kaleb Peterson is leading the team in the stat line with 14.5 PPG, 2.8 APG, 4.5 RPG, 2.1 SPG, and 0.2 BPG. He is the heart of this team, as you can see by his stats.
