MTV recently premiered its new show Sweet/Vicious.The show deals with the serious topic of college campus abuse and sexual assault. Two girls, Jules Thomas (Eliza Bennett) along with Ophelia Mayer (Taylor Dearden) act as vigilantes for their campus and bring justice to girls who have faced abuse. They do so by giving the attackers a taste of their own medicine and striking them back in a hard-core style.

Although the show deals with a serious topic, it also has some comedic and dramatic moments. Ophelia Mayer is a carefree and quirky character who makes the show very funny. While Jules is more put together and is very tough. Their differences make them a great duo and make the show unique and interesting to watch. The show is also action-filled as the duo fights crime.

I really enjoy this show because it is not afraid to include serious topics that are often seen as taboo. The show itself is very empowering to girls and all victims of assault because it shows that you are not alone. It shows that victims do not have to stay victims or stay silent.
